Jop! The smaller ones are Assault frigates in various configurations and the big one is an experimental heavy capital ship

Β i feel like there should be a BSF faction made after you're ships... missile frigates, maybe a cople of cruiser or destroyer designs (if you have one) and the dreadnaught flagship. also, what are their weapons exactly? are they directed energy weapons or magnetically accelerated projectile weapons? i know many of you're frigates have missiles from the other picture... idk... i'm way too over interested in futuristic weaponry...

Well, I always use Railguns (or magnetically accelerated projectile weapons) in most of my sci-fi universes, I just make them look this way for artistic reasons

Β well... coilguns (aka gauze cannons) function similar to railguns and usually have normal looking gun barrels like these. do they have point defense weapons of any sort? also, are their missiles primarily long range, anti ship or short range anti fighter/ frigate?

Now I know which you mean, but I know them as Gauss-Cannons (so simply a bit differently written^^)
And yes the have point defense weapons, as well as small turrets either for small crafts or missiles and turrets against vessels in close range. Missiles are primarily mid-range anti capital/frigate-class weapons

Yes they are and the experimental battleship is in part a carrier. They do have warp/ftl/jump capabilities (haven't decided on the term yet^^) but they don't have energy weapons, only projectile or missile based weaponry

Β kk. usually projectile weapons offer more firepower for less consumed energy, however, if any type of kinetic barriers are present, directed energy weapons should be capable of bypassing them without a problem.

I don't use kinetic barriers, shields or any other sort of protection in my sci-fi universes, so that shouldn't be a problem
