Tower's Gem Paper Fasteners 1881
From a single small reference image originating in Wright's Australian and American Commercial Directory and Gazetteer 1881, seems none physically survived.
Made these to 3/4" long 1/3 high and 1/4" wide (19x7.6x6mm). Measurement was taken from what the hand tool looked like relative to my hand and what seemed to be common imperial measurements.
No idea if they would be in brass or steel so I made image of both.
