What's the original Megaman doing in a capsule?

Just thought it would be neat to see the 2 in the same frame. Also it's never really explained what happened to the original Megaman in the X future timeline or why he's absent. I kinda hope he'd be preserved somewhere in the same fashion that Dr. Light preserved X for so long.

Though, Megaman and Megaman X have been seen together multiple times before. Once in an episode of the Ruby Spears cartoon, and many times in the Archie Comics series. As for what might have happened to the original Megaman during the X series, nobody really knows. Because as you said, it's never explained what happened to any of the characters from that series. But my guess is they're probably dead. Dr. Light and Dr. Wily are most likely dead. Except for their spirits which live on as AI. There's a lot of rumors and unanswered questions concerning the Megaman concept.

Right, I've seen the Archie comics crossovers, but I was referring more to in-game content. There's a lot of room for speculation to the fate of the original Megaman, Dr. Light, and Dr. Wily. The large gap in story between the current end of the Megaman series and the beginning of the X series of games is bountiful for story filler.
