If I could bring back the Thundercats,
This it what they'd be like.
All badass,all the time.
I had to do an intro animation for my animation class years back in college. I chose to redesign and redo the Thundercats' intro. It was tedious but successful. The cool part was that as a result of all the prep and design, I got all this cool "production stuff that I did with Darkness33 I'm gonna share with y'all.

As a character Lion-o was really original. But as far as costume design goes...he was alittle on the weak side. Especially for the last surviving royalty of Thundera...The whole PLANET.
With this in mind I figured he needed a complete remix' from his wack ass hair to his slick sword.

Lion-o is a Prince. He needs to look like it.So gone is his unkept "mane" and suggestive homo' tights. I instead gave him a light flashy suit of armor along with a well kept mane of dreads. I even gave him(and all the others) more convincing ears on the tops of their heads instead of the generic elf ears they had. I almost didn't change that on him but,When we did some sketches with the real cat ears it was a done deal!
The Sword and shield were too renaissance festival to me. I figured I'd put a more organic/alien look on the hilt of the sword. As for the shield,it needed to look like a royal weapon. I just streamlined it.
Lastly, these Thundercats are alien.Not superhero versions of the broadway musical.
These guys have tails. But instead of them comming from their booties,they come from the back of their heads like the oldschool chinese "pigtail" braid.

That's about it.(phew!)
