Description Primordial god of dry air, clouds and fog, Shu is the son of Atum/Ra and the twin brother and husband of Tefnut the primordial goddess of moisture and water who together play a part in the Egyptian creation myth. He as the air holds his offspring Nut (the sky) and Geb (the earth) apart allowing life to exist.

His symbol is the ostrich feather and associated with the lion, though occasionally depicted with a lion's head like his sister/wife he is much more often depicted with a more human appearance.
