Description If you're a horror fan, you might appreciate this little line up.  As goofy, "bad", convoluted as some of our favorite horror franchises might have become, I embraced the twists and turns and quirks.  Fun stuff to see each mythos evolve through various filters.  Leftmost hovering creatures are the Dream Demons who endowed Freddy Kruger with his Dream powers.  Underneath them is the Voorhees "Hellbaby".  Supposedly this demon was inside Jason Voorhees and provided him with the power to carry out his vengeance.  The dude with the tie scar patterns is Agent Rothman.  In Texas Chainsaw Next Generation implied that the entire Sawyer/Hewitt clan was seeded and maintained by a secret shadow organization who tasked them to create pure terror in the world.   I know.  I know...   Then the dude in the trenchcoat is Dr. Jason Wynn.  He worked at the Warren County Sanatorium and may have given Michael Myers driving lessons!!  He lead the Cult of Thorn and controlled Michael Myers to brings murderous chaos in the name of Samhain into the world!  On the far right top is the Necronomicon.  Seen in the works of Lovecraft, in the Evil Dead films, in Jason Goes to Hell, in Pumpkinhead and more...you know what that is.    Lastly, maybe out of place, is the hellish demon that grew from the sandy ground to take Jason Voorhees to hell in the movie of the same name.  Goofy as shit, but I want to see them interacting with cenobites in hell.

Another scrapped idea was Freddy vs. Jason. There was a character named Thanos who's really Satan as the twist. Apparently it would reveal Freddy died from Pamela and Elias from burning him and that Jason was a Elm Street kid. Freddy got his revenge and drown him one the Voorrhes family left town. So Thanos brings him back to life and Freddy controls Jason. Who ever Jason kills, Freddy collects their souls and pawns then to Satan. So Jason's a pawn of a pawn to a much bigger pawn.

The writer was like: "So if you're a Friday the 13th fan, f*#k you! None of your series actually matters because it's all Freddy Krueger. And I'm glad and your welcome."

Yes it pretty much showed how out of touch the sequels became as if they didn't take their own lore seriously anymore because all horror franchise became afterwords were nothing but cashcows to make huge franchises and they even care about the original source material.

Like for example, Wes Craven originally conceived Freddy Krueger to be a lone drifter who squatted at the powerplants boileroom where he built the glove in the opening scene of the original film and where he took and killed his victims but nope once Freddy's Dead rolled around, he's suddenly a Family Man and those floating sperm Dream Demons is what gave him his powers which was beyond ridiculous where he could have been a simple malicious poltergeist invading people's dreams.

Sadly it seems other franchises suffered the same fate as NOES wasn't the only one it seems.

I remember Dr. Wynn   ... Pity they didn't do more with that character and cult , felt they had a more to offer.

I agree, especially since he was featured in the first Halloween.

Love the Necronomicon. It also looks like a stoned Golden Graham.

What about the Pet Sematary Wendigo from the novel? the one who soured the micmac burial ground and cursed it and resurrected/possessed the corpses and turned them into demons?

Nice call!   I only focused on the "big four" in horror/slasher film terms.  King's universe deserves its own entry.
