Love the emotion in this! I was unsure myself if I was going to like Tauriel as a character, but I saw her interactions with Kili, and kind of fell in love her. Anyway just love this and such wonderful detail on the hair!

Yeah i love the drawing but she doesn't even appear in the book...sorry guys but she was only made to be a love interest...if i were a girl i would revolt against it cause it's almost as like girls are only important if they are love interests. Cute draiwng and very well drawn anyway.

I don't see it this way at all. Idk, why people only see woman as love interests, why not see male characters as love interests for female characters? Tauriel is not "just a love interest", she'a character with her own personality, she's badass and doesn't let men to dictate her life, doesn't try to please them (even her king) and makes her own choices, why don't people want to focus on that? And why not give her a romantic line? A love conflict was used in storytelling to add to the entertainment since the ancient times, I don't see what's wrong with that. Aren't people shipping their own otps and pairings even if there's not any romance in canon? I don't get it, people, you don't want women to be love interests in canon but you love shipping everyone with anyone, very often non-canon couples. It's like people think becoming involved in a romantic plot automatically strips a female character of her personality. I don't get it.

Even if Tauriel was added at a love interest, her character is still quite an interesting addition to the plot. Anyway, she's not onlyΒ there to be a shallow love interest. Her ideals and personality in itself add good depth to the story.
