Weren’t they actually close to the same chronological age to begin with?

Yeah. In the very beginning Rex is 10 (physically 20) and Ahsoka's 14. By Rebels I believe he's about 28 ish (so physically 56) and I think Ahsoka's 31.

What is her species’ natural lifespan, relative to ordinary humans? That’s an important factor. I think she’s an amphibian, from what I’ve heard, as they are like giant poison-arrow frogs. They are so toxic, that even a Sarlak would become very sick if it ate one of them. I just had an idea for an old republic scenario where some of them would have been popular assassins, simply by sweating onto a target’s food. By Imperial times, that usually doesn’t work because antidotes are available all over, and not just for deliberate poisoning. It probably happens by accident fairly often.

Yeah I don't think she's an amphibian because Shili (the homeworld of the Togruta people) is entirely grasslands. That makes me think prairies and such. So I think they're just mammalian humanoids.

Huh? What happened to the theme that they had evolved their display to ward of giant super predators before they invented weapons?
Was that lost to the “Legends” like the old version of the Sand People being primitive humans, now rewritten as a bigger species cousin to Jawas?

I'm pretty sure that's still canon. I don't think (emphasis on think lol) they ever physically changed (at least not drastically). I think they were just originally hunters who changed with the times like everyone else, but I'm fairly sure they've still always been humanoids.
And I wanna say the Tusken Raiders are still thought of as primitive humans. I could totally be wrong about that, though.
I've never actually heard of them being a cousin to Jawas lol but maybe

I don’t know for sure about her people, that’s why I asked, but I have pre-Kennedy StarWars lore books before and after her decision to scrap ALL the book and comic story elements not explicitly confirmed in the original six films from before 2014, and The lore clearly stated that NEITHER Jawas or Tuscans evolved on Tatooine, but had been living there for a very long time, Tuscans for over 100,000 years, being the oldest known human colony in the galaxy, the Jawas since the early days of the Old Republic, although they had evolved on a similar desert planet so were well adapted for life there.
Now, Kennedy’s people utterly threw that out for them to have evolved on the planet from a common ancestor that diverged into two species after a nuclear war ruined the environment.

Well, Amazonian tree frogs are the least amphibious amphibians, some have even learned to retain their tadpoles in an egg until fully developed, like as very primitive reptile. But it’s not a fixed thing, either. If a snake finds one of the eggs, and bites into it, the tadpole can be born prematurely, escape like the filling of a cream donut spilling out, dive into the water below, and STILL live like a normal tadpole, from then on, if it survives other predators, which is unlikely. Most only become fully toxic upon maturity. But at least it has a chance.
Anyway, imagine a species that retains that basic reproductive system even as it advances up the evolutionary ladder in other ways, over 50 million years.

Fine, 18-20. But I was talking more from the perspective of my own headcanon.

Funny story. . . I used to ship Rexsoka before I discovered Luxsoka. But now that he's apparently vanished off the Star Wars map, I think it's time to start shipping this again.
Also, who else died of fangirl excitement at the end of Relics of the Old Republic?

There was one creepy moment though when Kanan was driving the Phantom when they saved the old clones, and he had such a weird expression of excitement on his face. Eyebrows up and down, pupils really wide, and bared teeth in this scary smile. . . *shudders*
but he keeps getting more lovable with every episode
or is it just me

My sister and I were thinking, "What the Fett?" and then we paused it about three times to make sure the creepiness of Halloween wasn't taking over our Star Wars sides.
I bet the animator(s) who did that expression got nightmares; maybe Freddie Prinze Jr. too
