It took me a while to discern whether this guy was depressed, down on his luck or sleeping...Taken in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, where the light is surreally gorgeous.

Wow... This is such an amazing photograph. Of course the person
in the photo triggers my emotions. This could be anywhere judging
by that person. Here in Oslo there are so many homeless people,
beggars, alcholics, drugaddicts. I see people like this guy every
day. What's worse is I see them during winter as well. To this day
I don't understand how they survive. Strong people.
Now on the the photograph itself. The sun brings out amazing details
both on his hands and clothes as well as his surroundings. The texture
on the stone and the wood is candy for the eyes!
You made a very emotional and sad piece beautiful by capturing the
surroundings as well.
And for some reason I like that we don't get to see his face...
The homeless people are almost invisible, only there 'disturbing'
all us others, reminding us of how horrible the world really is...

this shot is so rich with character. the man only adds to the color and texture. blending in
to his surroundings like a chamleon. perhaps not wanting to be noticed. how long has it
been that way? what guides him? instinct? survival? what has he given up? what has he
retained?
i like to think that all of us seek that one last reason. that one last adventure.
even if all it turns out to be,...
is the next step we take.

Very crisp shadows on a nice sunlight subject. The subject is down, tired and out but the setting is ALIVE with colors, textures and light.... excellent shot my friend. It reaches into everyone and we all know how he feels even though we don't know what he is exactly feeling. Good work. BTW, what did you use to create your avatar, that fire is awesome!
