Yay, I also enjoy turtles!! So much so that I had to buy a turtle shell off ebay for no particular reason. Your picture is especially amazing. I like the way it's a mix of gentle colours, extreme 3Dness and that ugly sort of cuteness like in a little pug puppy

This is a really good picture, but if you look at the ground in real life you will see a lot of bugs, plants, and animals. I know the turtle is the main idea, but you can still add ants, a flower, and even a bee, but you do not have change the picture. Well I am a huge fan of turtles. I think they are so adorable and unique. When looking for some digital and traditional art to feature I decided to search turtle in the search bar and a whole bunch of turtle drawings popped up. I scanned through pages and pages looking for a drawing I really liked. I am super picky with what I like. I saw some really nice drawings of sea turtles but I don't fancy sea turtles so much as fresh water turtles. So after several pages I went back to the first page where I saw the nicest deviantations. When I saw yours I thought that huge eye was so adorable I couldn't resist it. The water color and detail was so fine I had to feature this!

As for turtles, I have always loved turtles since my first pet one when I was 8, here in Japan. Now that I am back in Japan I have happily taken another turtle home who is beautiful! This painting was really a commission I did for a coworker who's husband is also a turtle otaku. It was a joy to do! I should paint my turtle sometime too ^.^;;
