Well,i hope i find the right words...
It was not traced and also not drawn over.
I took a piece of paper,sit down in front of my pc, saw the reference pic and began to draw a quick sketch.After this step i go on to work it out.

the pose is really dynamic! i love mostly everything... the mouth part of the mask kind of bugs me though, part of me wants it to be completely covered over like Spiderman's so that her eyes are the only expression. makes her more mysterious and befitting of the Black Suit, just my opinion though... it's still great.
