No butt hurt allowed here.This is my version of what she would look like, no need to go crazy about "Ermargerd her hur isn't luk dat!" I know. I actually was a tad disappointed with the fact they didn't really do anything special with her hair aside give it a slight curl at the end.
I really enjoyed the fact that she is now an Alicorn, and I do not understand the general dislike for alicorns.

I didn't like that the entire ep was a muscial, to me, when a series throws in a musical it means they didn't know what else to do. And I think, there could have been much more done than singing. Hey its my opinon and I know I get annoyed when there is too much singing involved. Same goes for Disney. HOWEVER: Rarity needs WAY more singing eps! Omg that voice!!
Everyone is doing fan art of Twilight Sparkle, I personally never really liked the character until now.
Watercolor texture papers were used along with some color changes etc.
I plan to do more of this style, I love it and it suits me.

I really do like this picture and episode it came from in general. The way the picture looks like is was done in paper crafts, and that does add an impact to it. It does though have one dark area around the wings that does rather bother me.
I do rather like the technique used with overlay, having parts of her hair overlay her body and parts that do not. my problems here is that her mane looks slightly attached to her tail. Plus I thought the horn should have been on top of the hair.
The Impact is massive due to me being a brony and seeing this episode for the first time. Twilight helping her friends in need. And finishing a spell, in which I will say no more for those who had not yet watched the episode. With each and every inch of this picture, it is truly amazing, and I hope to see more soon.

This is amazing. I'm ok with the whole Twilight Alicorn thing to, but I agree with you-they could have done so much more than singing! The whole thing felt kind of rushed. But I suppose they'll make up for the rush in the next season

Friendship gives you wings.
The fact that the episode was a musical was not because they were out of ideas. It was done in order to: 1) tell more of a story than separate normal scenes would have, more quickly and 2) furnish it with emotional weight and show the characters' reactions and feelings more vividly. Essentially, its musical nature is brought about by it having to be VERY compressed in order to tell its story. Had it been a two-parter, it would've not been necessary. But it ain't, so they had to go this way. I ain't complaining, more pony songs! YAY!
Lovely grand wings here, and that mane and that tail... Even her enarged bodyshape here feels great, it seems similar yet different from what Celestia has. Large, powerfulβyet still beautifully feminine and elegant, just like her normal one. I also approve of the decision to make her hair so voluminous here, it works beautifully in the picture. The pose is both dynamic and not overly, I like that. And finally, the exact lines her body has feel lifelike, somehow, bridging G4 pony and horse in a good way. And I absolutely love her face. The small line of her mouth makes me think she's smiling very faintly, and the glow of her eye and horn makes her look mystical.
