Description This is a circle of fifths, also shows how many sharps and flats are in each scale. I love music more than I love drawing. This took a LOT of effort and time. At least... six hours of work. Drawn in pencil, then painted. Didn't use any calligraphy pens. On computer paper.

I'm impressed myself and think that it's quite beautiful. The letter is amazing, especially since you didn't use a calligraphy pen. Beautiful. Oh yes, and as you might have wondered, I myself am a musician also.

Thanks! I did this a while ago to be a reminder in my room of my scales and such, because I had to learn them like any other band nerd.

What instrument(s) do you play?

LOL, gotta love the scales. I had to use that when I was taking piano lessons as a kid, so I was such a nerd that I already had it mastered for band. As a kid I took piano lessons for 6 years and then eventually didn't have time for it, but I can still play. Then in HS I played alto saxophone, and learned to play the other (bari, tenor, and soprano), so I've been playing sax for 12 years now. The instrument that I play most these days is guitar, which I've been playing for 6.5 years. Those are the instruments that I can truly play well, but I dabble a bit on the drums and my sister's clarinet over the years. I have perfect pitch, so it definately helps me catch instruments very quickly. I plan on learning to play the violin and harp before I do, and if I get really crazy, the bagpipes.

Ooooh, bari. I started developing perfect pitch in my freshman year, but as of now, I definitely don't have it.

lol, yeah, I'm blessed with quite a great deal of musical talent. I've heard different theories on perfect pitch and if you can develop it yet, although I don't officially have a position of my own. I'm glad that you are developing it, and you're learning to hear music differently, it really does open up an entirely different world to you. Keep up the hard work, and hope to talk to you soon.

Wow! That is really awesome. you have turned something that can be very useful (*is a musician herself*) into something that is art. I'm impressed that you did all that without a calligraphy pen...
