Yup, it's a link to the fact that Jin has lost his wallet early in the comic, but his photo would be surely a reference later.
There's an alternative scene I made before this chapter, where the wallet was found instead by Miyu, who rushed back to the shrine with the purpose of returning it to Jin(and as an excuse to see him again), but...something happened.
