I don't picture Rainbow Dash as a passive, demure pony. I see lots of Dash and Soarin images in which Dash is submissive or flying beneath him (in the stereotypical female role). She isn't a traditional female. She's aggressive, intense, and dominant (and possibly gender fluid).Related content

I think it's because it should be the other way around, with soarin' in front and rainbow dash under his chin. "More man-like" if you will.
