If fans have the right to flaunt their obnoxous overbearing love for Homestuck in my tumblr dash, devart inbox, y!gallery and youtube every single day, then I have the right to flaunt my hate for it as well.~*~
Before you start with allegations of 'OH YOU MUST HAVE STOPPED AFTER A FEW PAGES BUT TRUST ME IT GETS BETTER' I've read it all. Till the trolls and the god tiers and the stupid music parts.
And I still think it is shallow and boring and fugly and the characters are srsly MARYSUES with no character development whatsoever. We all know John isn't dying anytime soon oh please.
And I find the art style FUGLY. I've read Problem Sleuth and the art was different, and I quite enjoyed that mspa.
You may then argue that hey! The art style actually changes later on and he draws FULL BODIED CHARACTERS. Well the truth is, after getting so popular he HIRED PEOPLE TO DRAW AND ANIMATE FOR HIM.
Which only makes me hate it more. I believe in the webcomic artists who perservere on their own and keep true to what skills and style they have. If you just get people to do shit for you, you're never going to improve.
And the fans. UGH. Abandonning everything for this forsaken fandumb. I mean, there are fandumbs like Twilight and Hetalia but they've never bothered me before. Not like this.
I know there are others who feel the same way. I know some of you are actually afraid of saying you hate it, because you have awesome artist friends/normal friends who are so into the fandumb, and you don't want to feel alienated.
Well that is called peer pressure.
Don't give in to it, and always stay true to yourself.
And join my currently small and single digited anti-homesuck army.
For mah friends who are so deep into the fandumb, you know i still <3 you. Just be prepared for trollan.
And I don't mean the candycorn type.

I got pressured into reading Homestuck, but I didn't like it. I tried, really I did, but as soon as I got to the trolls I had to stop. I read Problem Sleuth though, and that was wonderful, and now I'm being harried for liking one but not the other.

oh my.... of course I do respect other people's opinions. And I am trying so much not to scream and shout at you...it's just an opinion.... But don't you thing this is a little...er...VERY LOW?... I mean, I don't mean to hate on you or insult you but what is the point of hating? I never get it... It's like you're going to change everything but you're not. Haha yeah, I'm a very devoted fan of HS and I freak out over it a lot, I admit it.... But if you think it's overrated doesn't mean it is. If it would be...I don't think I'd like it as much. Everyone has the right to love something and hating on it and making people think it's bad and insulting fans is just mean..... I'm just trying to set up an example like if you loved some one, right? Imagine it. If EVERYBODY would start hating, pointing, spitting, cursing on that person. Making you regret loving that person, telling you they hate that person...I don't think id would be a sweet feeling, would it?
And Hussie didn't make people do all of his work for him....Yeah he asked for help but he drew and animated everything himself...You have read some bad information and now you're spreading it.

Yes he did, the things he didnt do he gave full credit to. For example the games in homestuck, newgrounds made those and Andrew said it was them, he tweeted a few times thanking them and everything.Β

Yeah before I finally found different friends in my lunch period, my table was all obsessed with Homestuck and they always had these (extremely loud) talks about it and I just wanted to flip the table.
I hate Homestuck, every time I see Homestuck art I just go to my profile. I don't know why it makes me so irrationally angry but it does.

Well other fandoms are pretty much the same thing. I mean directioners are crazed freaks most of the time. Beliebers or whatever they are called are crazy too. I get mad at people for over doing it sometimes but you dont have to hate the fandom. My best friend is a directioner and I dont mind her yelling about it. Fans are people that love what they are in, its not wrong for them to express themselves even if they do it in the 'loudest' way possible. They are just happy so let them be, you dont have to hate.Β

I didn't start off with a closed mind, thanks. What started the hate, was one day, one of the girls was screaming at me asking about it. I simply said "I'm not really a fan of Homestuck" and I was literally tormented and screamed at by them. For. The. Entire. Quarter. I would leave with migrainesΒ because of these girls. It was like negative reinforcement. I learned to hate the fandom because I hated the fans. There is a time to express things appropriately, and at lunch at the top of your lungs by me, trying to get my work done, is notΒ an appropriate time. If it had been another fandom, I'd probably end up disliking it as well. I'm not going to let them be when they're stopping me from getting what I need to doΒ done. There's a better place to talk about your fandoms. I don't have to "let them be" when they're disrupting me. They're being obnoxious, so you don't have to get butthurt.

I don't hate everybody in the fandom, my apologies for implying that. I just am not a fan of Homestuck myself, and was attacked by fans which sort of made me like it even less. I did give it a chance, and it wasn't my cup of tea. But I understand people are like that with every fandom. I do avoid the people I dislike, and my sincerest apologies for coming off so offensive earlier.

As for John not dying anytime soon... >:/ Firstly, he's the main character and most main characters do not die. Secondly HE DIES ALLLLL THE TIME.
