I think my favorite marsupial is the sugar glider. It looks like a rodent, and it's very small.

Actually, as I recall, they were accused of killing livestock, sheep to be exact. There was little to no evidence that the thylacine actually committed such a "crime". BTW, the pouch faces the hips not the chest, like herbivorous marsupials. Other than that minor inconsistency, this drawing is fantastically correct.

You're quite welcome. However, I must admit that I learned that little tidbit from another artist, Rick Griffin, when he drew a character sheet for a female thylacine who makes an appearance early in one of his comics. Since she was an anthro thylacine, several readers were deciding how the "upside down" pouch would work. I finally came up with the idea that as the thylacine anthropomorphized, a second pouch evolved. This one facing upward to allow the joey(?) to be carried "normally" until it was big enough to handle staying in the normal pouch.
