Description
My rendition of a "hat man" shadow person. Generally believed to be malevolent spirits or extra-dimensional beings, these mysterious apparitions usually appear at the edges of your vision, yet reports of head on encounters are becoming increasingly common. Science denies their existence as nothing more than hypnagogia, the transitional state between wakefulness and sleep. Only a nightmare. Right?Related content

Holy shit it's him! I know this guy! Haven't seen him for over 20 years! He went after me time and time again in my nightmares then I was a kid. I only started to remember him again in later years. Kind of scary that more peole have seen him, outside their dreams.

That which cannot be seen clearly is often dismissed as fantasy.
I had heard that the full-on encounters were becoming more frequent as well. I wonder why that is? Global warming?
Very nice capture, imo. You managed to get the idea across while still preserving the creep factor that is the unclear image. I really like that you did not go with the harshest contrast in colors, but instead chose more muted colors. It seems to really bind the idea together while seeming very sinister.

It was really a flashback to my childhood. The almost golden light behind the shadow came from the bathroom down the hall in the house where I grew up - you remember the setup? - although in fact the creature itself is more based on an earlier drawing I did of a "realistic hat man" than the nightmarish entity that kept me awake once upon a time.
