Description
This drawing is inspired by The Lost Fleet & associated series of books by Jack Campbell (aka John Hemry). I highly recommend them.

This is a less "finny" version of my original effort at an Alliance Battlecruiser. Something a bit less like the Covenant ships with their excessive & extravagant fins, frippery & furbelows. After all, what’s the worst that could happen? My internet hyper gate collapsing & destroying my hovel?

The rest of it is essentially the same with slight realignments of the fins to match in the plan, side & bow & stern views.

I took the descriptions I could remember: shark like, check, shield generators, sensors, propulsion units & Hell Lances on fins, check. The Hell Lance batteries gave me some issues, as they were originally described as being on fins also, but another section mentions Captain Geary inspecting a compartment housing one. The author described the Hell Lances as being in a sort of casemated blister on FB & this is as close as I can get & still give them decent arcs of fire.
The Null Field Projector gave me problems since there is only one of them & it is also in a compartment, but is apparently capable of firing to port or starboard. I put it in a turret (compartment) again & mounted it in the bow to cover forward, port & starboard arcs of fire.
One of the books mentioned Captain Desjani saying fire a full spread & the Dauntless firing six Specter missiles, so I gave her six launch tubes. No mention is made of the number of grapeshot rail guns.
Mines are launched via a tube at the stern of the ship, like it’s taking a dump.
