Entry for 's Brighthelm Summer Bonanza [link]The one day event Cross country phase
Spartan and Isaac Dampford.
Here's Issac and Spartan ready for the off in the start box of the cross country course. Spartan looks very keen, he is pawing the ground impatiently, Isaac looks a bit wistful, Sarah was insistent that he wore a body protector, the concept of getting hurt hadn't actually occurred to Isaac before that point, it is just sinking in that some of the jumps are very big and Spartan isn't really a trained eventer, just a game family mount with a 'have-a-go' attitude. The moment of self doubt will pass as soon as the bell goes, they will be off like a rocket! Isaac might have trouble pulling Spartan up to take the jumps safely, however- being a farrier- he is a big strong lad with plenty of muscle so he will have to be strong with Spartan to let him know what he wants him to do.
