Yep, many species of dolphins can and do produce hybrids. There is also various hybrids of baleen whales as well.

It's possible they could make a hybrid, but I highly doubt it will ever happen. But there's a couple other hybrids. False killer whale/bottlenose dolphin. Risso's/bottlenose dolphin. Pacific white-sided/bottlenose dolphin. Pilot whale/bottlenose dolphin, then of course long-beaked common/bottlenose dolphin.

are my eyes deceiving me, or is she in the shamu close up tank? O__o It certainly doesn't look like the dolphin tank in this shot at least.
Such a beautiful shot though. I always wished they had better underwater viewing for the dolphins. They are so fantastic to watch, but there was such limited underwater viewing for them.

They are still and will be till late April or early May.

I have to try and find time to make a drive out to California before that time. Originally i wasn't planning on coming out to California again until July, but i will have to see what i can do.

What an awesome shot! The angle is awesome and the clarity is superb! Nice job with the DOF here; you see a lot of shots like this with either the eyes/forehead or the teeth and rostrum out of focus. You did this really well!
