Description
"Where is Wonderland?"For the Alice in Wonderland contest~
Was trying to play with lighting but don't think it came out how I wanted...
Feels like the colors look odd.. but hopefully that's just because I've been staring at it for too long XD

I think the "mistakes" actually fit this better then yout hink. Alice in Wonderland was a world were nothing made sense and nothing was quite right. So you "mistakes" actually fit with the theme. I absolutely love this one. It should of won.

i like the perspective of this~~ very nice coloring too. i think one thing is the bg in the mirror is kinda hard to see because the colors are similar to the curtains. unless u wanted it to blend in @_@

for once i'm getting all these constructive comments
and the back ground of the mirror was actually green to begin with... but it looked too messy with all the colors... so I changed it to a purple tone.. orz

I really love the concept and setting of this picture. The colours are extrmely different, you focus on the characters first, cuase they stand out really well, thzen you realize there's a bg as well 
The picture is full of details and shadings, and it's kinda confusing. And i think the effect of perspective would be more visible, if you had some outlines, tiny ones are already okay!

The original concept was actually much more complex... was gonna draw like the whole Wonderland crew in the reflection of that mirror LOL
But yeah gave up cuz of time issues....
I usually do draw with outlines~ (Until recently since I've been experimenting)
And this picture did start off with outlines~ But then I removed background line art because it looked better without them... and then characters with outline didn't merge in with the line-less background.. so this is what I ended up with haha~
Maybe I'll try put some faint lines back on though~

The lighting is just a little too high key around thier dresses and doesnt have the contrast in that area that would give it better deffinition.
but its still a great image, nice concept and execution. well done.

Yeah there should've been more contrast on the characters since its dark in the room with bright light coming through the windows... I can't ever get the contrast right and always end up with normal shading.. probably need more practice with this.

I consider the Coloring perfectly balanced throughout the painting. One of those paintings that the more you look at it the more you see. You have done a great job here. Good luck in the comp.

Maybe it's because this is one of the rare drawings where I actually planned the background along with the characters, so it looked more balanced when I colored it~
I'll feel really happy if you noticed the small details~ Since I often add lots of random things that usually no one notices..XD

the colours are pretty well balanced and the dress's are so cute I love the incorporation of the playing cards in the underskirt...
I'm not that great at colouring but I can appretiate the efforsts of others and this is very well done

The original idea was actually different playing cards from all suits randomly stuck to her underskirt... but that looked kinda out of place so I settles with just one color =w=;
And I'm not good with lighting and shading so glad you like it!
