A winter scene showing a mixed train, based on the St. Johnsbury & Lake Champlain Railroad in Vermont. The modern successor to the St. J. & L. C., the Lamoille County Railroad, still uses some of these covered bridges, although they have been strengthened with steel trusses and the wooden covers are now merely cosmetic.

A color card. Because of straitened circumstances, I had stuck pretty much with ink or pencil drawings for several years, but in 2006 I went for something impressive. Mostly colored pencil, some water color wash, some ink, and Liquid Paper for snow on the pilot!
