Ah, how interesting this turned out. Perhaps an explanation is in order?

I drew my little nameless OC, who, at this point, is basically a pencil and paper representation of myself. He has horns similar to Hanyuu's from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai because of the implied imagery. Hanyuu is always there, yet unable to do anything. She knows what's going to happen, and yet, she cannot do anything to prevent these tragedies from occurring. She is forever following and watching those who must live through the never-ending cycle of death and despair (until Matsuribayashi-hen, but that part isn't important).
His clutching his chest is an obvious message that I don't think I need to explain, as well as the facial expression.
The flowers in the background... there are three of them. In Chinese, three is a lucky number because it sounds like the word for birth. The way I see it, the three flowers in this picture can present the idea of the possibility of a newer, more beautiful life blooming from the impossibly tumultuous old life. Also, the darker/brighter flower on top attracts the viewer's attention to the head, I believe...

Also, I think one of the arms looks a bit too large or something. Ick. And all those creases and folds, I really don't know how to draw those. And the hand. I can't draw hands. Gack, upper bodies. And I don't know how to do shading at all. I can't draw... I can't draw... Writing this has put me in despair!
