it is available to the public for testing
(unfortunately, the picture is so uniformly green that the picture search in google cannot find a match for the plant - it just shows various sorts of 'green stuff' but none of them resembles this plant)

Nicotiana langsdorffii, an ornamental tobacco variant. I knew at least it had to be a member of the nightshades family, don't ask me how, stoner's instinct probably, or in my case the remnants thereof (though by my knowledge I've never taken any nightshade for real, they just used to be in my "field of interest" ). I think it reminded me of Datura stramonium, which can indeed cause strong hallucinations, as long as it doesn't induce death that is.

I had a case of green been poisoning last year. I had added a few handfuls of frozen green beans to my Standardized Chili Base (wot I eat every day, basically), but apparently I didn't cook them long enough. After I had eaten I went to the toilet and all of a sudden it was as if the walls around me were spinning and turning, a sensation I used to have quite often at parties, but then with a well-defined cause. This time I had no idea what was going on, so I rushed into bed and lied there, waiting for the spinning and turning to stop, which it did after 15 minutes or so. It was only then that I was able to make the link with the green beans. The culprit is phytohaemagglutinin, present in large quantities in fresh green beans, but it vanishes completely when they're properly cooked. I have to say that the taste of raw green beans in my opinion is one of the best tastes LIKE EVER. I would have a whole bag of them for dinner if it weren't for the phytohaemagglutinin!

hm, there was also cabbage (ornamental, but smelling like cabbage) in the same flower bed. they could have added some beans, to make the perfect coctail for foraging passers-by

I'm quite sure you could eat that ornamental cabbage during times of hardship. The fact that it looks good doesn't mean it tastes bad. Just remember where to find it, just in case

they belong to the municipality of Trondheim. may be they are already planning a sauerkraut event for the citizens.
