Finally, my entry for the contest of the artbook !Here is the journal about the contest: fav.me/da753o2
(to contest holders: if needed, I'll erase the copyright statement down there, it's just for upload on dA. Also, for the same reason, for now it's rgb. If there's anything wrong with the picture and file despite that, I'll be happy to make it right later!)
The requested infos:
- Name that you want to appear in the artbook: Luisa Simioni
- Theme of your illustration: Grateful for exploration of nature
- Your website: lu--24.deviantart.com or luisas-portfolio.tumblr.com
- Description of your illustration: Looking at gardens, and the little paradises of moss, grass, flowers and little trees, I always keep thinking of how cool it would be to be thumb-sized and explore these magical places. Still, we have the possibility to explore forests with trees so tall, and mountains so big that we could feel that way all the same, so that's something to be grateful for!
I had a hard time drawing this one in time yesterday, and today photoshop decides to leave me in the middle of nothing, so I've just had 3 hours of trying to open photoshop, and getting pc crashes one after the other, then resorting to a mix of illustrator and pixlr.com to fix the image... All of this on something that should have been a 5 minute job.
So I'm kind of tired now, I won't write a big description now, sorry. Maybe tomorrow.

Aw man, it's rubbish when software crashes >.> The irony of modern technology... But I'm glad you were able to do what you needed with other software!Β
What a dreamy and light-hearted piece! I love the varying shades of green used, it keeps the piece fresh and interesting to look at in every corner. It's also an effective idea to use contrasting red and blue for the clothes of the person walking through the mass of giant clovers to make her stand out :0 I too like to go exploring. I mean, how can you not when there's so much beauty out there, something which you've captured so nicely in this piece

It was such a pain... I was all "I painted it in time! Now just a quick retouch and resize..." and 3 hours later I was still there XD
I'm glad you like the atmosphere! I was scared to mess up with every stroke I made, but luckily it went good enough, and thanks for the comment on the clothes, I was afraid they stood up too much ^^
Yes, exploring is the best, with all the little and big things you can see, the world is truly a wonderful place to live in

I'm glad you like the perspective, and that one clover was so near to become a whole disaster, but somehow I was able to save it washing it with water (it was a bit risky, but I got lucky).

Gosh, I can't remember if we actually found one when I was little, surely we found the 5 leaved ones, but six... I'd have to search trough the old diaries they're kept in...
