Description
The first of her line of Battleship, The H.M.S Iron Duke, is famous for the assasination of the last Emperor of Cerulean Empire during her launch ceremonary.The Iron Duke was the fastest and best armored ship in the Cerulean skyfleet. Her twelve 16'in guns together with her state of the art fire control and rader systems, make her the deadliest ship in the Cerulean Empire.
As the most modern and best equiped ship of her day, she was penciled in as the new flagship for the Empire skyfleet even before her launch, following the tradion of the Cerulean Empire, the ship and her captain along with all her commissioned officers were made knights of the Empire by the emperor during her launch ceremonary.
Thats was when the emperor was shot by a suspected pirate sniper who managed to got away. The death of the Emperor made her the last knight, as the empire collapsed before a new emperor took the throne
She was put under command of Admiral Albert Graf von Spee in the hunt for the sky pirates, the Sky Raiders, the suspects of the crime.
8 months after her launch, she engaged the Sky Raiders' ship, Raider in a duel in which she was destroyed with the Raider.

you know why she got destroyed? because even if she fought with either Yamato or Bismarck, on water, she'll still be destroyed because her cannons are a little too thin compared to Yamato's 18.1'in cannons on all 4x3 main battery. And these battleship aren't floating at all. just my opinion, not a hate comment. Plus why are there biplanes around when this is some advanced technology?

Well I wasn't intending to add ships with bigger guns into this world. Or at least at this point of her commission, there are no bigger badder ships around.
Also when creating "worlds" certain rules are different such as technology and elements, much like how helium or hydrogen allow crafts like blimps and balloons to float.
There are fantasy elements in play in this world that work rather similarly to those blimps and airship technology, just that it provide better lift. I wasn't looking at some
super advanced technology like anti-gravity or similarly kind. So biplanes fly using a different technology that are still within the same era of technology.

I just love airships, mostly ones like this are litle more fantasy/tech looking, not much for the balloon ones. ^^ i think we need more action games or jrpg with mysticla, modern, scifi style airships. I remember when alot japaneae games came here in us there alot nice looking ones i loved. Especailly ones that mixed fantasy/magic with technology/sciense. Now a days dont see much game wise, but least DA HaS alot talented artist that do wonderful deisgns

Might I ask where you got the inspiration for this exceptional piece? I am currently underway writing a book that has these same elements that you currently use. In fact, they scream what I am currently thinking of. And if by chance, could I borrow some of the ideas?

Inspirations come from many areas like Japanese anime, and the history of our world hahah~

Oh no no no. That would be bad. I always loved the old U.S. steel battleships, like the U.S.S. Maine and Olympia, which is what your art reminded me of. That is what I am roughly basing my ideas off of.

Wow, this is amazing, the detail, the atmosphere, I'm amazed by how you got so many seemingly conflicting subjects to blend together so seamlessly. I just don't have a good enough eye to find anything wrong.

Yeah, that's definitely an educative story, but:
1.Sydney was no battleship, a light cruiser in fact.
2.The raider was also destroyed in that fight.
So it appears yo be a pyrrhic victory at best.
Anyway, a nice picture - so being sorry that such a cool ship was destroyed, is what makes me argue

dude. Very inspiring. I love the color scheme and the way you highlighted the top of the clouds.Very 3d, maybe even a little more. Great effect. The city behind it is awesome, very well planned, what's your secret(paint or line art). I think the character in the bottom left is a little forced or off scale. But seeing the admiral board his vessel is perfect. I love the reference to the Graff Spee as well. I look forward to seeing more enviro work, it's getting pretty pimp.
