I'd honestly rather they not be used for anything, though really, it's not like it's any majorly original content, I guess? So I'm not really sure that I can stop you... But I also wasn't planning on drawing Doduo variations. I'm sorry.

B] Damn right, it is. I HAD to make a Dodo variant since Dodo is in their names even though they look more like Kiwis.

When I was a kid, I use to get the Fearow line and Dodrio line mixed up because of how similar they look. Except Spearow, but that was the only exception. But I mean when I was REALLY young, like 4-6. Yes, I've been playing pokemon since I was 4. No lie.

Aww, but that's cute! If Fearow and Dodrio combined into one, it'd be HORRIFYING. A flying, three-headed murderbird.
And oh, trust me, I'm in almost the same boat. I grew up with Pokemon and it'll probably be with me for a whiiiile.

Not a lot of 4-year-olds are trusted with a Game Boy. But I was never really the sort of kid who made friends easily. Β

Anyway, speaking of murderbirds, the Cassowary variation is pretty much already a three-headed murderbird! Cassowaries irl have a single large clawed toe, can run fast, are large for birds, can swim, occasionally eat meat, and have been proven capable of killing humans. They are pretty much modern-day velociraptors!

Oh believe me, I know. I'm verrrrry familiar with violent Cassowaries, lol.

Really? May I ask how? It's just out of curiosity, so no obligation to tell me if you don't want to for whatever reason.

Personally, the only irl Cassowaries I've ever seen were at the National Zoo in Washington D.C. I was there on a 3-day field trip for students in the grade above me. But thanks to a friend who somehow got me cleared to go as well, I was able to enjoy the history, scenery, and fun experiences that field trip had to offer. I'm eternally grateful to him for that since such experiences are an extreme rarity in my life. The pictures may be gone(thanks to some events that I deem irrelevant to this), but the memories will always be with me.

I still can't believe that the animal I wanted to see most was not there on that day. I've always wanted to see a real, live Komodo Dragon.... At a safe distance of course. They may not breathe fire, but they kind of CAN spit acid! Their saliva is corrosive or something like that.

Believe it or not, I saw them up very close when I went to an alligator farm in Florida. And one of the keepers went into the Cassowary pen because they have to clean it and such, and I watched him get chased around by it, lol. I would NOT want that job. I also saw Komodo Dragons up very close there, too. Like literally laying up against the glass right in front of me. They even have a sort of makeshift 'third eye' spot on their foreheads that detect light or shadows over their heads. Pretty cool reptiles, I'll admit.

I agree! They are probably the closest thing to actual dragons in this day and age. But what exactly IS an alligator farm if it also has cassowaries and komodo dragons?! I mean, if it's basically a zoo, then why not just call it a zoo?

Oh, because it was originally just for crocodilians. Basically like a preserve? But they sort'a expanded.
They still pretty much mainly feature all the gators, crocs, caimans, and gharials they have, that's their main thing.
But they've got some other neat critters there, too. And the place is much smaller than a zoo, so you can actually be a lot closer to the animals.

Do they have a Chinese alligator? I saw one of those while looking for the komodo dragons. It was a cool reddish-brown color. While at the National Zoo, I also saw a red panda, a sloth bear, and a cheetah. That last one is probably not as special, but it was cool and I couldn't think of a third lesser-known animal I saw. It was one of the first animals we saw when we entered, so it sticks out in my mind a bit better than others. But you wouldn't expect the thing called a sloth bear to be one of the most active and playful animals there that day. The giant pandas were really lazy, but the red pandas were really cute and I got to see them eat some food. It was adorable watching them push the bowl around with their face still inside it. XD My cat does that too, but still. The sloth bear was twirling around a stick and splashing in the water. Maybe it was the fact that it was a hot day and the sloth bear was in water that made him the most active. It was still entertaining to watch though.

well, the place boasted that it's the only place they know with every living species of crocodilian, so I assume they had a Chinese gator. I'unno, though, there were a lot of them to look at, lol.

Then they probably did. Here's a picture of one:Β www.zoochat.com/community/medi… I must be remembering it wrong if I thought it was a reddish-brown color... Maybe it was the lighting or something. It was a bright sunny day, but the day was winding down by then. The sunset is red, red is a color very commonly associated with China, and the animal was in a tank, so the glass might have had some effect on the lighting. Maybe I assumed it was reddish-brown. Anyway, it was a lot smaller than most alligators I knew of(like the american ones that make up the entirety of my knowledge of alligator species. XD), so I still found it interesting.Β

Speaking of interesting animals, ever heard of an alligator snapping turtle? Those are the coolest-looking turtles I've ever seen! Here's a pic of one:Β www.texasturtles.org/Alligator… Although, you might have seen one at that alligator farm.... They aren't really alligators of course, but they're so cool!
