[Notes: Remember when I did Ekans-Arbok line? I said I feel the line wrong because I can't fathom how a Rattlesnake can evolve into an Elapid. And here I am, being a hypocrite and transforming a Ratite into a Flamingo. To be honest, this came late because my first plan was to do two variants, the other one based on a Cassowary. Had it almost ready, but didn't like the look of it, so scraped it and moved on with the Flamingo one. Maybe I'll revisit the Cassowary some day. On with what we got instead…]

There's an interesting tale in local Alnean folklore about the Doduo variant. It is believed that during ancient times, there was a war. In that war, there was a young hero in Alneo who had a love interest in the enemy region. To communicate and console his love during the hard times, they exchanged mails using the man's Dodrio as the medium. The Dodrio would carry the mails across the oceans and finally was the one who flew the couple all the way out of an extremely fatal battle. This Doduo subspecies is since being known as the Cupid Doduo and it was this couple, the Davies, who will later establish the Fyora Town in Alneo which is famous for being the largest amusement park in the World and for being the home to Rina Davies, the mystical and charming gym leader of the town.

Alnean Doduo are really nice creatures. Unlike their Kantonese brethren, the Alnean Doduo are more calm and do not suffer much indifference between the multiple heads. The bird however do throw a really good temper tantrum when angry.

Alnean Dodrio are the only subspecies of Doduo that are capable of flight. They can fly tirelessly for miles, making quite a crowd in regions they visit during migrations.

The Cupid variants of Doduo are sought largely by young and aspiring couples as it is a common lore in Pokémon World that if you own a Cupid Doduo, your love life will go happy ever after.
