I saw (on Tumblr) a mermaid wearing a Sari (Saree?) And I just completely fell in love with it, I don't have a link to the art right now but if I find it I'll add it here found it! Turns out it's also here on DA, too! fav.me/d6wf1aq GO AND FAV IT! Also lots of credit for the inspiration for her!
It inspired me to draw one, and I've not drawn a mermaid in far too long so I was very happy! And I finally managed to colour something!! I think I did her skin too dark, but I don't really know. Also the mer-sari isn't my original idea and...well basically I don'y claim to know anything about them (apart from the fact that they're beautiful) or Indian culture! So I'm sorry, it was just something I wanted to draw
It gave me a lot of practice for colouring and such and I'm actually pretty happy with it! Hope you guys like it!!

And Ya mermaids don't look too hard to draw! Unless if you wanna add a few extra sparkles here and there.
I just love the tails. those are my favorite part of the mermaids the most!

Very daring pose and draping, good tail and the clothing is well-thought out. Β It's very effective at what you wanted--I think she'd find the clothes dragging a lot when she swam. Β Her skin isn't THAT dark, she's just got more Dravidian blood in her than some Indians.
