Description
A request from someone I barely know irl. I wasn't going to accept the request, but I did anyway to practice my traditional colouring some more ^^ However, it looks really grainy because sadly I used normal copy paper (which is rather thin), resulting in rough coloured pencil streaks :/Related content

It's mostly rough because it's traditional :'D But just keep practicing!

Nice colourscheme and detailing, again though you've got the plates on the belly at an odd angle, they should only be half-shown with that... fold, dent, whatever you call it, underneath the dragon and so out of view. Tail and chest look fine, just the belly that's off, also the face looks a little flat.
Wings look great though, as does the mane, overall proportions look right, and as I said I like the scale detail.

Thanks! And yeah, the belly scale misalignment mistake seems to be common in my dragons lately. I'm glad you pointed it out- I hadn't really noticed it was that incorrect! Also, I drew the sketch for this dragon really quickly, so the head is a little simpler/more exaggerated/more cartoony than my normal stuff... I also made the eye way too big, which I noticed after I had done the lineart already.

I don't think the eye looks too big, I just think at that angle he'd have more... forehead, I guess, sort of a wedge-shape either side of his mane, you know what I mean?
Anyhow, now you know, and knowing is half the battle. I do still like a lot of things about this pic' though.

I think I see what, you mean, yes...thanks for the comment ^^ I kind of like this dragon, and plenty of people seem to agree with that, but just knowing my mistakes is very helpful so I can make even better dragons in the future XD

The pencil lines may be visible, but the different values are still plain to see, and the lines do not distract from the coloring.

Really? Phew, okay- I was worried that the scratchy colouring was distracting :/ I still wish it was smoother, but I suppose the its still ok ^^
Lol yeah, I do that to a few of my scanned drawings because I get tired of looking at it in one direction XD While I'm doing digital art, I'm constantly flipping it horizontally to see if there are any mistakes I missed or something
