I like him too ! I would have worked a bit longer on it, but the paper didn't permitΒ  specially with watercolors (which is a big shame because I like the size of this sketchbook and the color and texture of the paper).

Aw that is a shame! But it looks amazing either way.Β
What kinda brand watercolor paint do you use?Β

Yeah I have a sketchbook like that it holds no media ;w; It just likes pen and pencils

I have two brands: White Nights and Kuretake Gansai Tambi.
White Nights is a Russian brand. They are really good and cheap compared to other professional brands. They are very vibrant.

Kuretake is a Japanese brand. I bought a 24 set (the biggest one available in my country) + 6 pans of other colors I didn't have in the set. I absolutely love them. They are different than the classic watercolors as in they can get really opaque (some people complain about this aspect, but for me it's a plus...I can always dilute them if I need them to get more transparent. If you don't add enough water when they dry on paper they become shiny (people also complain about this aspect, but I learnt from an early age how to deal with it because my favorite watercolors from my childhood also behaved like that). They also behave different on paper, they 'float' a bit so that you can work them. The colors are beautiful and vibrant.

This sketchbook was cheap so I wasn't expecting it to be very good, but I still got it. Like I said I love it, it works well with pens and pencils. I used markers on it and they didn't bleed on the other pages (which does happen with printer paper). After 2 layers of watercolor it starts warping (still did not manage to destroy the paper). It also has some nice thick kraft paper (300 gsm If I am not mistaking).

WOW, I will certainly keep this in mind! I want to buy some water colors as when I moved mine got all mixed up.
I actually like the ideas of Opaque watercolors for the same reason, I would rather Dilute than struggle to actually get watercolors darker, because of the reason it warps the paper when it is soaked.

;w; You have some lovely advice I really appreciate it!

They are worth the money. Most people praise them and I am praising them too. I had no problem working with them. You can google swatches for Kuretake and you'll fall in love with the colors. They need to be activated before use by adding a bit of water and wait a few minutes. I agree with you that it's better to dilute than to have colors that are too transparent.

I am happy I can help. I love talking about art supplies.Β
