#3, Lets talk about Zooey.

Now that I think of it, I dont think I've ever heard anyone say that they love Sonic Boom--a lot of people aren't too crazy about it and I can see why. The fast fun flying adventures have been dumbed down to low grade comedy for four year olds and I don't think thats what the fans were expecting. I know thats not what I was expecting. But on the other hand, I'm the kind of person who can still find entertainment in a little kids show, because my life is stressful and in a kid's show, at least I wont have to be sweating and anxious about my favorite characters dying like what Anime does to me. I love anime, but that's stressful on me too sometimes! I am still not over Neji dying in Naruto and I am still just as pissed at Akame Ga Kill! Oh, and when my favorite character on Jojo's Bizare Adventure Stardust Crusade died, I swear I wanted to strangle that hot villain myself! And I can't even watch Attack on Titans--I'd be screaming at the screen the whole time "No! Save those poor people! Someone do something! I can't watch! But I can't look away! This is awful!" So yeah, a relaxing kids' show is nice to enjoy sometimes. I still enjoy Pokemon, Sofia the First, Chower, Steven Universe, and Sonic Boom (even if it is slightly disappointing in many respects.)

So about Sonic Boom. Amy and Knuckle's characters were serverely compromised. With Amy going from being a young girl in love who drops everything to help people in need to becoming the stereotypical girly, bossy boots character who now seems older and seems to care more about shopping--she doesn't really seem like she cares about Sonic anymore. I never cared for Sonamy, but seeing Amy like this was just...weird. And Knuckles was turned into an utter idiot. It really feels insulting to his character, and I am really split on this, because on the one hand, I don't like it--it's not the knuckels I know. But on the other, he can make me laugh, and thats something I really like because you need to laugh when you're this stressed out. So its hard to figure where to stand on that. It really does make it feel like this is an alternate universe, doesn't it? And it is Knuckles but like an alt version from another reality, so not our Knuckles even though he technically is the same person. I guess we needed a dumb idiot for the funny scenes in Boom and Knuckles drew the short straw. Though I did at least understand the idea of changing his design; it's so he actually does look powerful so that he looks more appropriate for his typing, which is power typing. I know in writing it is important to make details match up, but if I had to be perfectly honest, I liked Knuckes the way he was....I dunno, maybe I was just used to it.

There is at least two things that I can say positively about Sonic Boom; one is that Eggman is looking fabulous these days! This might be his best design yet! And the second is that it's given us some new characters to enjoy--they might be bit characters, but still. And thats were Zooey comes in.

She's a newer character and even though she is only a background character, that won't stop people from being a fan of hers. Gosh, since Tails had a crush on her, she might be younger than how I drew her here....whoops. Should have looked that up. Her design is pretty simple and easy to recognize and by that I mean You can tell right away that she's a fox (cuz I had no idea what Perci was for the longest time.), but the red outfit just reminds me of---Im gonna call her offical Amy--it just reminds me of official Amy's usual design with the red dress. Although it does look good paired up against her yellow coloring...maybe some other colored could have been added on? Don't like the house slippers though.

The next time I draw Zooey, I think I'll go with making her look more like a younger girl...at least I think she's tails age. But then again, Tails had a crush on Fiona Fox in the comics and she was defiantely a little older than he is, so you really don't have to be the same age to enjoy being in the clutches of a crush. Hey, Fiona's a fox too. Maybe I should draw these two together sometime. Or maybe not, Fiona is evil and Zooey isn't, she's really sweet, and I can kinda see Fiona trying to use her for her revenge plots on Sonic or something nasty like that. Hmm, sounds like a fun story to write!
