Description "Magnemite, a Magnet Pokémon. Its means of floating through the air are not understood. This very mysterious Pokémon is of the Electric type."
--Dexter in the episode "Sparks Fly for Magnemite"

A model of Magnemite that I made in 2015 for my Pom-Pom Pokémon series, suggested by .  I made the body by dyeing a white pom-pom with silver paint--it worked, but it also made the pom-pom hard and un-fluffy.  (But then again, Magnemite is a Steel Type, and is therefore supposed to be hard and un-fluffy.)  I used black, red, and blue felt for his two magnets, and I also put silver paint on them to lighten the colors and make them look more metallic.  His eye is made of white felt, and I used black paint to draw in his little pupil.  The three screws are made of white felt, which I also dyed with silver paint, and I painted the black X patterns on the heads.  Magnemite is 2 inches (5.08 cm) in length and 1 inch (2.54 cm) in height.

Magnemite and Pokémon belong to Nintendo.

I always wondered if you could make a magnemite.... It probably isn't that difficult, you just need a 3 screws, 2 magnets, and an eye; but what to use for the body?

A bowling ball?  But that would be way too heavy and it wouldn't float the way a real Magnemite does...

So what do you make it out of? A balloon?
