Description
'Blue Skies & Pines' (SOLD)Acrylic paint on 32" x 48" canvas (total size for both parts of the painting)
The whole painting was done using a combination of palette knife strokes and brush strokes.
Here she be! My very first diptych! Which means I get to cross it off my list of goals for 2011!
Thank you very much to those that helped me in choosing a composition for this painting! 
And if anyone is wondering, the leafy tree behind the big pine is a poplar tree (but it doesn't get to be in the title...it's not special enough.).

ehehehe it's an anime series where people can get powers like turning towels turn to metal (if i remember right) and stuff. Ueki got the power/ability to turn trash to trees (awesome right? )
ehenyway, I rarely got to see it on tv but I saw the ending song once and the picture of the tree was captivating. Yours reminded me of it

The lighting through the leaves? ACCURATE. Level up!!
That section (with the greeny greeny leafs) also seems more colorful than the rest of your work. Like...sometimes I feel like a lot of your shading's done in grey instead of contrasting colors? But this has this gooey saturated yummy colorness in it that I like. /my opinion only

i know what you mean about the shading in my work. i like to use dark colours A LOT and keeping it from getting "muddy" is tricky.
