Mewtwo has always been among my favorite Pokemon. He definitely represents the Frankenstein's monster archetype, culled from that adorable stem cell call Mew. It's unfortunate that his story ends so abruptly, as all stories do in that game, with the bounce of a red-and-white ball.

Ah, yes, your last words here bring that tide of apathy towards that aspect of the Pokémon world, more specifically in that applied to Mewtwo. I find it a tragedy.
However, it would appear that we may share a similar regard of Mewtwo at large. Surely we each find him fascinating for many reasons... Would you be willing to share your thoughts as to Mewtwo? I would gladly listen, if so.
This sketch was nothing of due creativity nor alteration of design, but as an embodiment of his character, it is fair enough. Thank you for the regard of it, Jinshin.

Never thought to see a Pokemon drawn so... Epic!

It's stuck this way, lol.
Glad you still understand me, in your own way, Nex.

I have always had great admiration of Mewtwo. His history and story has been the most complicated and intelligent in the franchise. I wish there would be more characters that have had as much thought into them in these modern Pokemon times.

Greetings, Sahkmet. It is good to see you in my fleck of DA again.
I agree with your comment and sentiment. I have not seen any other concept of Pokémon treated with equal depth or meaning. I find it a great pity.
To that end, I have always enjoyed many of the unexplained connotations of Mewtwo's capabilities. From the architecture of his fortress to the swift and successful nature of his cloning processor, it seems to describe a vast intellignece. Moreover, he possesses the ability to alter and direct the human mind, as well as tamper with weather effects. Somehow I don't feel that his abilities were explored enough, as I would have found him an excellent agent for exploring the gap in cognition and rationale, and much of the human condition.
Alas, I abstract too much. Pardon me. Unfortunately all of that is simple wishful thinking, but my regard still stands: Mewtwo has been the only fascinating example of any Pokémon which I legitimately respect.
Thank you for the comment, Sahkmet.

There are only two other legendaries I have respect for, but they still have not equaled his storyline. One being Celibi, which has been described as an alien pokemon. Meanwhile the second would be the story of Latias and Latios, who seem to represent a complicated beautiful storyline of human nature, caring and death. Alas it is more of a tragic storyline than the tragic-darkness Mewtwo's history presents.

I see. Thank you for telling me of those, Sahkmet. Perhaps someday I will have to look them up, but for now, I doubt I would have the time.
It is heartening to hear that much of the potential power of the storytelling dynamics remains in the Pokémon series. I was never a fan of Celibi, but knowing so little of it, I simply decline to comment - I can see how it would have an excellent basis of perspective and observation, however.
Thanks again.
