Description Thoughts: This is a set of leather bracers made to be a gift for my sister-in-law.

Being an avid Legend of Zelda fan, I'd created them to be simple and effective in design: the Triforce (in gold paint), coupled with an aesthetic set of lines based off of the design of Link's bracer from Twilight Princess (in silver paint). She is also a fan of Elvish things, so the green, aged, and mottled appearance of the bracers, as well as the curvilinear designs, is reminiscent of that race as well.

I am hoping that the gift is welcome for her.

Details: A set of leather bracers made as a gift. ~8 ounce leather.

Materials: vegetable-tanned leather, Eco-Flo leather dye, Cova brand leather paint, aging gel medium, Satin-Shene finish, Latigo lace, and antique brass-plate grommets.

Those are just..you know what? Open an Ebay page and start selling your bracers there too. Extra money is always welcome and nostalgia nerds and buffs will always want to buy homemade, and handmade crafts.

Thank you, Brittsdemesne. This is likely true. Had I more free time, I've long wanted to make up a pool of items specifically for sale... But at the moment, I have more than enough of my own projects, gifts, or minor commissions to keep me busy.

Still, I much appreciate the comment and thoughts. Thank you for your patience in my reply.

It's all good. How has life been treating you otherwise - besides keeping you busy?-

Thank you for asking! That is very kind.

I've been well enough, thankfully, but time always seems to go by too quickly! Personally, I miss the time where I could more readily submit artwork and sketches here, and share among fans... Also, when I could reply to comments and activity more easily, too!

There is also never enough time or endurance for as much weightlifting exercise and reading of substantial literature as I'd like to get to, as well.

Aye, such as life goes! One day at a time.

Certainly if you have thoughts of your own life and ways to share, feel free! The least I can do to repay a thoughtful question is to listen in kind.

Well, I'm actually looking forward to college starting again next month - as you say, time flies by, but if you have no job to occupy the time and make some income to pursue other activities such as working on cosplay costumes or going to conventions and the like, the summertime can be rather boring. So, I just keep myself busy by drawing fanart. Summertime temperatures over here on my side of the world tend to get rather brutal, so staying inside an AC vented building is always a welcomed idea.

I'm gonna try to get back into the SatAM kick again myself; maybe I can draw out some more decent pictures. I have one already drawn out, and it's probably going to get some mixed results simply because it's a strange concept.

As you typed previously, life goes on; one day a a time.

Being busy is it's own complexity, clearly. I can also relate as to the weather and being in good indoor/weather conditions, but as to being not-busy... Aye, that is a foreign state, to me.

I can also relate to your comment over SatAM materials. I've long had an idea, but it has also not seen any activity for a very long time - not that it's ever really left my mind. Ideas remain, and new ones always arise, typically from the varied terrain of literature and study.

You certainly have my wish of luck as to your efforts, Brittsdemesne.

And I wish you good luck as well. I say go along and sketch out your SatAM idea anyway; just for the sake of getting it out of your head.
If you like what you draw out, then you accomplished something - if not, then at least you tried to get one more idea out of your head and onto a piece of paper.

Hmm.. Yes, this is the great liberating and worthwhile force of sketchbooks: their value is in freedom, acting as a record, it becomes a personal artifact.

This is the honor of books.

Good days, and take care, Britt.

You are welcome.

I understand the Zelda fan base to be quite varied and strong. I made these for one fan, yet also here to be shared among fans. Those who go looking will find, and perhaps those who see it will enjoy the sight. Thank you for leaving your thoughts.

It is good to see your eagerness, Angel. I'm glad to know I can craft something which others can enjoy... Humble though such works of mine are.

Perhaps one day I could work with commissions, but for now, that is not an option. Either way, such things are not my concern. The mere gladness of others is reward enough for the act of sharing here in and of DA.

Heh, many thanks, John.

I understand how popular the Zelda series is, and it's clear how much care and creativity has gone into it's evolution. As complex as the series is, these bracers were meant to be simple and effective. I am glad you've enjoyed them, John; it's what return I can give for what thoughts you've kindly offered over time.

The amount of detail you put into your works is always nice to see. One of the things I missed about DA.

I'm sure your sister-in-law will love them.

Thank you, BX3.

While there are many more skilled artists within the vastness of DA, I can only humbly say that my works are the result of patience, and simple planning.

I appreciate that you have enjoyed them and left your thoughts. I hope that any of my future works prove as entertaining for you. From one artist to those around them, we serve by goodwill.
