Description
One of my favorite--and sadly, often overlooked--facets of Rukia's personality. She's reading The Clue of the Empty Vial, an intricate murder mystery in which the heroine is poisoned in the lobby of an abandoned hotel.Sketched with 0.7mm mechanical pencil, colored in Photoshop CS2. About four hours.

Fantastic! One of the reasons I adore Rukia is that she is such a study of contrasts. She has a childlike fascination with the modern human world and, as such, an innocence or naivete. And yet, she's a death god, a 150+ year-old warrior whose deepest scars are emotional. You capture the duality of her existence in the Living World, contrasting her fresh physical form with the dark melodrama she indulges in.
And Rukia's just beautifully drawn.
