Witch is a genderless word for those who practice witchcraft. Thanks to the mainstream media like Harry Potter, witches are make female only. Fact is, male witches are called witch.

Where do this stereotype comes from, that ONLY females are called witches? It dosen't make sence. Especially, since men and boys where falsely accused to be witches. They weren't called differently from the females.
