love that picture.gheorghiu isn´t the best carmen, but she´s very, very good.
and she looks much as i imagined carmen.
but, however, the best carmen is agnes baltsa. have to draw here sometimes...

I agree the best Carmen is surely Agnes Baltsa,but I also like Leontyne Price or Maria Callas

What a beautiful portrait! Pencil work is really difficult. I also like Baltsa as Carmen best of all. And the Met production also feautred a gorgeous Escamillo in Sam Ramey.

Yes, Samuel Ramey indeed is a great Escamillo, maybe the best. But only for listening Thomas Hampson is also fantastic.
But I´m not so happy with Agnes Batsa´s voice. Of course she´s great, but my ears don´t really like her voice...

I love his Tannhäuser it's so vigorous. Especially when v. Karajan or Furtwängler conducts.
