i think anime songs are way better than american's
seriously! todays americans sing junk things: sex and romance (and nothing else!)
japanese sing with more feelings: fantasy, adventure, real romance, mistery...

i like the musicality in songs, and japanese is one of the most musical language in my opinion.
watching anime is the best way to find new wonderful songs
about this, try:
"Shounen no Heart" by Home Made Kazoku
"Period" by Chemistry
"Shining☆Star" by 9Nine
and non anime: "Love Song" Ayumi Hamasaki
