Beautiful but strange picture. I can't get my head around it. Is it ice and dirt, or rock, and most of all, the strange position of the dead tree.

There's something about this photo that really makes you look to see what's going on. The mixture of textures and colors is wonderful, and the dead tree really stands out.

That is the coolest illusion I've ever seen. That tree really messes with your eyes! The shadows make it look like it's standing, yet the image is taken from above. I love the true abstract of this shot!!

I love the color of the water and how at the same time it looks like crumpled tissue paper. the vertical line created by the tree is a great interruption to generally otherwise chaotic lines and shapes formed by the water....maybe it's a kind of juxtaposition between organic and inorganic forms. very cool.

Trying to think like an scientist here. The pictures got evidence that it is photographed when you observe the detail on the end of the tree to the edge of the trunk which shows sign that the tree has pierced the water and there was forces bouncing off in that area. In the closest to the edge at the beginning of the tree seems like an indicator of there was a slope involved in the scenery. From here, you can conclude that the tree wasn't too far off the ground while it was taken on an certain area in the air.
It's an wonderful work which shows a slight message of sacrifice for other when studying history.

I seriously just spent like five minutes straight simply staring at that. S'amazing. And confusing, but in a really interesting way.. it's hard to imagine there could be so much to look at in one little square on a computer.
My favorite part is the lower left area, just above what I think are the roots of the tree..
It looks like the fact / arms of young person asleep. Not sure if that's actually what it is or if that's just some crazy trick of the water and rocks, but either way I love it. This entire thing is stunning.
