365 days of CyborgsJashugan was the undisputed king of Motorball, a fictional sport in the manga Battle Angel/Gunnm. In real life sports are way off my radar but for some reason once you fictionalize it you can catch my interest pretty easily. It becomes all the good parts of sports it seems. Why watch a real life game when a fake one will be that much more entertaining thanks to Hollywood polishing each part to a shine...um... knuckle puck?
Anyway I wanted to do this one in color but I have know idea how Jashugan is colored.

Jashugan has bronzed tan skin and blonde hair. He's supposed to look so "perfect" and idealized on the surface to contrast the brain damage within. As for the rest of his body, you could get creative with the decals/stripes. Gold makes sense; he's the champion. His faceplate-reinforcement-thingies ought to be chrome like Gally/Alita's.
But anyway, excellent art! Love your stuff.

even though i read em, i have no idea who this guy is. but damn. this looks good. very emotional look. and great grayscale.
he is black and white in my mind anyway. so the lack of color works.

Hm, you must only have read the sequel series, Last Order. The original manga is from the early 1990s, but it's been back in print since the release of the new manga.
