Description
Artwork for the NPC in the campaign.Aethuriel is the drider who turned Pelargony into one, effectively making her Pelargony's second mother. Pelargony had been impressed seeing her fight and since Aethuriel had made the offer, Pelargony took it to become stronger.

Awesome, you've become a master drider-drawer. I am now an adoring fan of Aethuriel.

neat i'd probably make the same choice in her position. Did her being Pelargony's "mother" have an influence on the type of drider she became?

Pelargony was put on the spot with her choice so she didn't have too much time to consider it thoroughly, nor was she aware of all the intricacies of such a choice.
Aethuriel's drider type had some influence on the final outcome, such as the overall coloration and shape. The mark on their backs is something that tends to vary individually, however.

Yeah, on comparison I can see that Pelargony is much larger and more "articulated" although I assume some of that has to do with her magic as opposed to biology.

Pelargony's physiology has ended up quite different because of additional effects elsewhere. The lich she serves often rewards his generals with enhancements and they generally have side-effects on appearance. In the end, Pelargony has become a new kind of drider, quite different from those that came before her.

Your campaign sounds fun yeah I noticed there were some "enhancements" to her human half as well. How do you guys pronounce "lich"? I say it to rhyme with ditch, but the root origins suggest it should be a Germanic "lick"...which just doesn't sit right with me at all

It is pretty fun, yeah! It went on a break for a good while but it's back now and I'm happy for that, if only because it gives me an excuse to draw more Pelargony!
Everyone I know pronounces is the same way you do. Maybe it's inaccurate considering word origins but that's just how it's ended up, I suppose. I can see it working both ways, though!

Oh gosh, another KT fan! I never really played WoW but I liked him in Warcraft 3 to make a character inspired by him.

I mostly know him through Hearthstone, he has some of the best lines. He throws a little tantrum when you beat him

I'm very happy they continued having him as a pretty likeable character in Hearthstone with all his quirks (like his cat). In Warcraft 3 his voice mostly gave me the impression of a butler - which makes a fun contrast with the rest of hs character.

Thanks for the compliment about the campaign <3
I'll chime in that lich is pronounced like itch despite its roots, because of how language evolves.

anytime! I love creative campaigns, especially ones that allow "evil" characters or nontraditional races.
