Description Inspirations behind this one: Roadside Picnic book, the concept of zone and stalkers. A bit more of illustration then I usually do, could be a frame from a very short animation I have in mind. Done as combo of acrylics painting and digital work in Corel Painter.

I love the hazy colours in this and how weirdly quiet the scene looks despite the tearing and levitating metal. Almost peaceful, in a very unsettling way.Β

Could be a gravitational anomaly and every time somebody passes underneath it , the box car falls on the victim. ?

Beautiful work. I love the feeling of motion in the tracks, and how the person seems totally unaware of what is going on behind him. Your delicate treatment of the background is also very beautiful.

Nice, is that grinder (that anomaly which killed Barbidge's child)? Or some kind of freak mosquito mange spot?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

lukpazera In reply to WormWoodTheStar [2008-07-05 13:02:32 +0000 UTC]

heh, i didn't think about any particular anomaly from the book, just something strong enough to lift a traincar and tear tracks apart. It was more about a feeling of seeing something as heavy as traincar lifted and held in the air.

programu do przerobki flv na avi nie robilem, pisalem jedynie pluginy do programu do grafiki 3d - Lightwave.
