It's an Aeris/Cloud fanart that I am loving at the moment...

It's beautiful, no? They're relationship, everything they went through, it was like magic. A true romanticists dream (me). Everytime I think of this couple, I think of how they only want to be together, that they would wait any distance to be together again. Of course, I think people will disagree with me on that, considering the game was romantically based, like FF8 but even still. If you read into a game, or anything for that matter, you know for a fact that there is romance there.

With this story, it was so touching, that when Aeris was killed, I couldnt stop the tears that slid down my cheeks. And anytime I watch it, I think of how horrible it was, to be seperated from her love... Aeris was a strong person; imagine, knowing your impending death is near, the weight of HOPE is on your shoulders, and your human (with human thoughts and desires). You do your duty, regardless of your desires. Aeris was the strongest character in that story, truly amazing.

That's why when Cloud and Aeris were seperated, I KENW that distance, that deep, and feeling person couldn't be completely erased from this man's heart. All they want, the two of them, is to be reunited. Cloud, in his delerium, can make no move to save her, to stop her death.

Was it fate? Was it DESTINY that she would DIE, in front of him, to never be his, ever? I want to believe that love can last through a lifetime, is stronger then anything else in the world, and can unite two people through different worlds, through trials and distance, and through life and death. I want to believe that a love like that can exist, I want to be able to have hope in that...

Cloud will see his angel again, I know. And it will be in that heaven, lit (if it must be) by her ethreal presence alone, where she will hold him in her arms, tears of joy slipping from her eyes, and whisper sweetly in his ear...
