Description She who sleeps eternal...

Flutori

The Kingdom of Phantasia; home for all children who seek salvation from their torturous lives. A home that, if you close your eyes and hope for reprieve, you will find yourself away from your torments and unhappiness. Originally built by two best friends, one of whom was raped, the other, a mechanic's son who was beaten. Of course- the two would eventually grow older and rule the kingdom- always accepting any poor soul who also wished to escape to a new world.

With each wonderful addition to their kingdom, the Queen became more and more lonely, and longed for a child of her own. Unable to concieve due to the abuse she had taken before fleeing Earth, her husband created a miracle, and gave her a child, whom he created with all his powers available to him. He named the young child, Flutori- after the fluffy feathers, her ears, which fluttered in the wind.

The child began to grow, and was very loved among all the children. When word came that humans were going to come, to the kingdom, real adults, the King and Queen feared for their people. They assigned people to help protect their home, and assigned two young lovers, barely 17, to watch over their beloved daughter, with whom, the entrusted the secrets of the kingdom.

However, the humans did come- and in the horror, the king and Queen were killed. It was under the folly of Satsuki and Tori- the couple which, had sought out each other instead of their princess, that Flutori was attacked. In that chaos, Flutori fled from her chambers, her royal necklace placed securely around her neck. She was already special, and she had a Kingdom she could help.

She fled down the palace steps, her silver gown a flutter in the swift and terrible winds that wracked the crystal palaca's steps. She rushed forward and knew instantly that there was no hope for saving the people here. She instead, hurried back into the castle, to go deep into the center of the kingdom, to complete her final rite.

Satsuki, aware of her folly, flew after the Princess and caught her, just as she was attacked, and suffered a fatal wound to her side. Falling to her feet, the enemies defeated, Satsuki's sword fell from her hands and she coughed, the crimson blood staining the clear whit marbel. Flutori glided over to her fallen warrior, and, taking her trembling hands into her own, tiny, child ones, sqeeuzed them tightly, and told her that she will entrust to her the jewel that binds her soul to the Kingdom.

Satsuki, feeling the cool jewel pressed against the fevered flesh of her hand, nods. Flutori stands, all of 5 feet, and smiles sadly, holding the now empty socketed charm in her small hand. Her eyes widen with horror and knowledge. "Go to your lover," she says, "and follow your heart." Flutori runs away, up the palace steps to the final throne... and Satsuki calls for her, too wounded to follow up the tall steps. Moments later, she is swarmed with enemies...

Meanwhile, Flutori climbs the steps, her pale, dainty feet, making soft padding noises and her skirt fluttering gently around her knees. Her laugh, and the determined expression her young face, doesn't fade even as she feels an enemy coming up behind her. Turning, she raises her hands up and shoves him back, in mid air, away from her. Turning, she hurried up the rest of the steps. She comes into the room, and rushes forward into the crystal clear water, her dress billowing out around her small form.

A group of men rush into the room, and she doesn't recognize the things held in their hands. She smiles, as she reaches the center of the room, and closes her eyes, opening them again as she gently took the charm into her small hands, cradling it once, with loveingness in her movements, she opens her eyes, and unblinking, watches, a small, yet terribly sad smile on her face as the water from the pond suddenly surges upwards to form her into a crystal case.

All around the kingdom, the few remaining children that had not been taken, faded away, and slowly began to disapear before the human eyes. The men in the final throne room stood horror struck and transfixed as the small, perhaps, 12 year old child was encased in ice, her soft, green eyes forever sad and smiling...

The feathers are done very well also, and even though I can't see much of the dress, it looks nice.

Thank you :blushing: I like this one- the lineart is really old, like- 6-8 months ago- and I just now got around to coloring it! Like... I've started coloring it- so many times- but I stopped shortly after starting- simply because I couldn't do it well enough to suit me ^_^

Well, the 6-8 months of waiting were surely worth it O_o
The coloring's great! But I see the eyes-through-the-hair-phenom quite odd.. Even though I've seen many pics with the same thing.

Woah... that's o.o That story makes me want to cry... But the picture's beautiful, really beautiful. I think you did a great job capturing the eyes you described in your story. Great job, hun!

Thank you ^_^ The soft, sad, yet hopeful eyes ^_^ :heart melts: I really liked this picture- it's one of the closest to anime style i've gotten yet, I think... the head is a little big... lol and the hands are small... but it's an old picture that I did months ago- actually- that I just colored recently. I really like it though ^_^ and I truly believe that I got the desired effect in this picture ^_^ I mean, it makes me very happy to hear things like this from you and everyone else- truly- i melt everytime...

The story IS sad- but it's also, really happy too ^_^ It's a city that takes children away from their horrible home lives... but also- Flutori hooks up with the boy ^_~ They become the new queen and King. I tend to have these horrible pasts, but hopeful futures in all my stories... I'm sorry it was so sad :horror: But I you, okay???

Lol, I know, I didn't mean it was a bad picture, heheheheh, and sad stories are often the best But I think you did a great job, and most of your pictures look anime style to me. o.o That one was just... unbelievable...It looked so professional, I mean, I didn't see any flaws... seriously.

the design was actually inspired by my OWN hair one morning, when I woke up from bed- and it was knotted strangely- so I drew a new hairstyle- also, my original, olde version of this character- had longer hair, with curl and waves, also, her hair had tassels in it- still- I like the older Flutori as much as the younger flutoru- simple is usually better ^_^

Thank you for the comment, and the cool favorite ^_^ I'm so stoked ^_^ I really like the coloring job too- so it only HELPS to feed my ego further!!!

Thanks so much- and- come back and visit sometime ^_^

Kaioh35 [2005-07-30 03:29:03 +0000 UTC]

I loved how you used the different colors of the dress. The wings look cute. Her face looks so soft with those beautiful candy green eyes. The jewels hanging down on her forehead is very good.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LukyLady123 In reply to Kaioh35 [2005-07-30 04:09:01 +0000 UTC]

Thank you ^_^ I personally like the wings- she's a robot, BTW, not necessarily real- but yeah It goes against my religion for me to say she has a soul- but I believe that eyes have a little bit of a reflection of the soul- I gave her vibrant, piercing (yet incredibly soft) eyes, in both color and shape ^_^

The jewels are nothing in comparison to what she has when she grows up ^_^ I still like her so much though XD The other version of the jewels I had was too bulky- and rather... it- took away from her simple, elagent, very pretty look ^_^

I like this picture! Thank you for the favorite- I'm all a-flutter about it ^_^ It's good to see new faces ^_^

dodge? Actually- I never used doge, lol I can't seem to figure that effect out, lol! Everything was done with addition, standard, multiply, and possibly, hard light ^_~ That's it- and i don't color burn either- the only pictures I used that on was... only one picture- and it was Nightmares, a RE4 fanart ^_^

I love the affects of her hair too- actually this picture something I had, an old image that I wanted to finish for a long time, lol- but I was alawasy motivated by newer works, ^_^ Plus- your speechless! It was worth the wait- so I could get even better!!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LukyLady123 In reply to dark-crescent [2005-07-30 01:07:03 +0000 UTC]

I'm glad you asked! Actually- that's a deep mystery. The thing of the story was- that they would become angels, and go to heaven- but Phntasia was sorta... un-christian anyway- so I don't know ^_^ What happens in the story, however, is that- when Satsuki dies, she hands Tori the jewel, and he throws it over the side of the castle, and it's found by an old blacksmith.

That blacksmith passes it on for several years, until it goes to his great, great, great grandaughter who was having an affair with a rich merchant. Because she loves him, she ses her old families techniques to craft a marvellous sword, with the jewel encrusted in it. When she gives birth to a wonderful son, She puts it on a chain and gives it to him to hold close. Unfortunately, she dies when the boy is barely 6 years old...

The boy is raised by his father, and mistreated by his step-mother. He knows of the sword, and of the castle in the sky (a story his mother told him, about a beautiful princess who walked her lonely castle alone, but happy to be away from the horrors of their class struggles )still, one day, causing mischief, his step brother takes his necklace, and in his fury, he races into the bowls of the families manor- and falls through a whole and finds a tombstone with a sword thrust into the ground. Of course- it's his mother's grave...

He climbs out- and has this urge to get his necklace back... as soon as he gets out of the whole- he gets caught and thrown into his small hovel in their house and of course, he escapes again, with the sword and retrieves the necklace. As soon as he rushes outside with the necklace and the sword, he starts to glow, and floats into the sky- and passes out during his trip through the sky ^_^

When he awakes, he's on Phantasia. ^_^ Next to him, is- :gasp: the mystical, glowing girl his mother told him stories about. He walks with her and faces dangers- all a part of the story and too much to describe- all the time trying to get to the throne room... Of course, he likes the little girl, quite a bit- and they become fast friends, even though she never speaks...

Still... what eventually happens is, he places his necklace on the hilt of the sword, into the other jewel piece- and the sword becomes powerful- and he saves the girl (:gasp: from what???)- they both flee up the final steps and when he gets there he see's the girls sad- yet happy expression, mirrored in the ice- at an exact copy of her- frozen. Using the sword, he places the tip to the ice, and it fades, and so does the smiling girl- more to come, of course- but tedious. What happens after that is-

all the :gasp: (monsters?) suddenly disapear... and what happens? The children reappear...

So- your question- what happens to the kids? They become goopy, sludge monsters- things that protected the castle from the other humans

But uh... yeah ^_^ Sorry for the long... comment

I'm really glad you like it, so ^_^
