Description
Colored sketch of a fairy character for an upcoming book illustration.I´m still on the search for the coloring style. This is first drawn with graphic pencils and afterwards colored with polychromos. I guess I will color with acrylics next.

I really like the shading effects! They add a lot of 3dimensional look to it. I'd try to emphasize this effect a little more concerning her hair. Maybe it is not of any help for you, but I've seen lots of pictures where white acrylics were used for light reflections on dark hair.
She's such a cute and cheery character, I'm very interested in seeing more and of course knowing more about her background story

Oh this means so much to me that you like her dear!!!! I´m trying out different techniques for the coloring, the backgrounds will be painted with acrylics, but I´m still not sure about the characters.... You´re right, the hair needs some more structure.
