Drawing bishonen is really not hard at all. I'm serious! There's a formula for making them look hot just like there is a formula for making chibis look cute. I only realized that recently, lol! XD

Aww...I'm sure you could if you wanted to. It just takes practice. I really think so! I've only started drawing recently myself! That's why I'm so excited xDXD I think the trick is to copy from an artist you love, look at RL photos of people, and switch back and forth. Anyhow this Gakupo sketch is lucky strike for me. I'm still practicing a lot and most of my bishies look all wrong, just that nobody will ever see it, Mwahahaha!

I kept thinking there's something wrong with his anatomy (fail) and I thought it was the middle part of his body, but you're right, his head is all out of proportion.

That's good, because I prefer manly faces.... I've been sketching bishonen(pretty boys) a lot and you know what happened? I started observing the men's faces on the streets and thinking "oh, this guy's face is out of proportion, him too, and him..." Then I tell myself - hey wait, these people are the normal ones here, it's the bishonen who doesn't exist, lol.

Yeah, Gackpoid is excessive looking but he makes for a pretty picture, doesn't he? I love pencils too, sketches do have their special look. Although for me, I feel more like I'm "carving" something through a sea of lines xD

Thanks so much! I was amazed at myself too. It even looks like something not produced by me. In a sense, it's not, because I copied the style from You Higuri. But in the process I learnt a lot about drawing attractive anime men. Their faces have a certain proportion. Maybe it involves the golden triangle, I'm not sure, but if it's not at the right proportion, then they turn into trolls. But once I got the face right, drawing the clothes, hands etc, was much easier. LOL. You can definitely draw something similar should you choose to.

LOL, most of my stuff is horrible too. If you see my sketches 9 out of 10 bishonen look weird but one of them will hit the jackpot and look human, if not handsome. xD Not that you'd want to draw bishonen, but it's not as hard as you might think.
