This piece has a very striking focal point, the eyes of the wolf really draw attention and that's what I like about this piece. The anatomy of the wolf has been very accurately portrayed, especially in the back legs and back paws. However, one improvement I would suggest is that you think about using less pure black, white or gray in your images and instead experiment with adding slight tints of color to your shades. This can have the effect of creating a more realistic atmosphere as in natural light pure black and white are not often seen. Another tip that I would suggest to try out would be to incorporate a mix of harder shadows alongside the blended gradient-like shadows that have already been used. Harder shadows can help describe the shape of a form more accurately and can be used to show smaller plane changes such as on fur. You could experiment with using a hard eraser to create a fur like texture by cutting into the soft blending alongside sharper and darker shadows. Overall a great piece, however a more dramatic atmosphere could be achieved through a few small tweaks.
